Star Wars Xmas

Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates the holiday.  And to those who don't...I suppose you're going to the movies today.  I'm actually doing both today, but I wanted to give everyone a little holiday present first.  And by present, I mean one of the worst abominations done to a beloved entertainment property.  The Star Wars Holiday Special is terrible...it makes me actually like the courtship dialogue from Attack of the Clones.  The show is so bad that it makes me think "Well, maybe Hayden Christensen isn't that bad of an actor and didn't ruin a good thing all by himself." 

How bad can this be?  As the photo above that I found here shows, Bea Arthur is running the Mos Eisley Cantina.  Do I really need to continue?  It was so bad that it only aired once and has never officially been released on video or DVD.  George Lucas rarely acknowledges it's existence.  So why would I want to share something this awful with you all?  Obviously you don't know me too well.

Here's the first two parts of the special.  You can find most of the rest of it on this YouTube playlist.  I think that part 3 is missing, but it's not too hard to remedy that.  The interweb is a wondrous and magical thing.  You can figure it out.  And Happy Life Day!
