I've been guilty of all of them. I think a showing of poor chopstick skills should be up there as well. I'm going to try my best to have something of more substance up by mid-week. Oh yeah, I originally found this image here via Stumble.
Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates the holiday. And to those who don't...I suppose you're going to the movies today. I'm actually doing both today, but I wanted to give everyone a little holiday present first. And by present, I mean one of the worst abominations done to a beloved entertainment property. The Star Wars Holiday Special is terrible...it makes me actually like the courtship dialogue from Attack of the Clones. The show is so bad that it makes me think "Well, maybe Hayden Christensen isn't that bad of an actor and didn't ruin a good thing all by himself."
How bad can this be? As the photo above that I found here shows, Bea Arthur is running the Mos Eisley Cantina. Do I really need to continue? It was so bad that it only aired once and has never officially been released on video or DVD. George Lucas rarely acknowledges it's existence. So why would I want to share something this awful with you all? Obviously you don't know me too well.
So, I was looking at the Toys R Us website yesterday. Mostly because Christmas and both of my nephews birthdays are coming up in the winter, but partly because of this sweet Nerf gun I saw somewhere a few weeks ago. Naturally, I checked out the clearance items as well...always on the look for Thrifty Thursdays material. There are deals to be had everywhere if you look for them. And that's where I came across this epic moment of failure:
That's for real. Here's the actual page. That's pretty bad there. How do you get that wrong? The guy has won a Super Bowl and appears in 50 different commercials each NFL season, but you can't even get his first name right. It would be one thing to misspell his name. But they gave Peyton Manning a entirely new first name. Here he is: Patton Manning of the Annapolis Colts.
